Against All Rules, a documentary essay produced by acclaimed filmmaker and architecture specialist Horst Brandenburg, presents profound insight into the work and philosophy of German-born and Beijing-based architect Ole Scheeren. The results are not quite so toe-curling, but Wenders is still seduced by the myth of the great, individual creative genius.

For a month, the city is alive with floatibg, parties, and exhibitions, animated by thousands of architects and designers. Formed from a series of rafts, lashed together with a grid of scaffolding, then clad with suitably maritime decking, the Cinema was then set adrift in the middle of the Arsenale basin, accessible only by water taxi. Following the Venice premiere, Archipelago Cinema is set to embark on a journey around the globe, providing an itinerant platform for architectural discourse and film screenings, while Against All Rules will further feature at a series of international film festivals.
